Apo B is a protein that is involved in lipid (fat) metabolism. Concentrations of Apo B tend to mirror those of LDL cholesterol. The ratio of Apo A1 to Apo B is now thought to be a more reliable predictor of cardiovascular disease than standard cholesterol analyses.
