New symptoms that you haven’t discussed with a doctor and that do not improve or are worsening such as (but not limited to):
  • Severe pains in any part of the body
  • Severe fatigue
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Unexplained lump in any part of the body
  • Complete loss of a sense (e.g. sight, taste, smell, hearing, sensation)
  • Sudden or chronic loss of use of any part of your body (whether full or partial)
  • Acute breathing problems
  • Recurrent fevers
  • Severe stomach pains and/or distension
  • Sudden, severe change in normal toilet habits that last more than a few days
  • Any abnormal discharge (e.g. bleeding between periods, vaginal bleeding after the menopause, blood in the urine or stool)
  • Coughing up blood
  • Chronic palpitations or irregular heartbeat
  • Symptoms of a stroke
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Severe allergic reactions
Please also note that a negative or normal test result does not rule out illness. Any worrying symptom should be properly investigated by a medical doctor.
