The Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) for selenium from all sources for all adults 19+ years and older and pregnant and breastfeeding women is 400 mcg daily. The UL is the maximum daily intake unlikely to cause harmful effects on health, anything above that is considered an overdose.
Remember that some foods like pork, beef, turkey, chicken, fish, shellfish, eggs, Brazil nuts contain higher amounts of selenium, as do many multivitamins.
